Customs formalities :
It is important to note that import shipments (Air, sea, river or road) are subject to a Pre shipment Inspection at origin for SGS if the FOB cargo value is equal or over USD 4 000 or the CIF cargo value equal or over USD 4 457.

Are exempted from PSI for SGS :

• Precious stones
• Object of art
• Explosives and pyrotechnic products
• Ammunition, weapons, implements of war
• Live animals
• Current newspapers and periodicals
• Household and personal effects
• Parcel post or commercial samples
• Gifts made by foreign governments or international organizations to foundations, charities and recognized humanitarians organizations
• Gifts and supplies to diplomatic and consular missions and to agencies depending from the United Nations organization, imported to their own needs
• Grant in kinds
• Goods imported for government use under government order
• Scrap metals
• Cigarettes
• Temporarily admitted goods (temporary import for inward processing for export)

Currency:
The national currency is the  Riel , official acronym : KHR,  but in general, all business is done in USD.

Languag :
The official language is Khmer however in main cities most people can speak English.
